About Aasmaan
Aasmaan (आसमान) is a printed bandana from AAVRAN's first drop. Night-sky navy with a medallion of kairis and flowers in fine white line. Navy is gentler than black and pairs with every shade of denim.
The print: Kairi
Kairi is the Hindi word for a raw mango, and it is what most of India calls the teardrop with the curled tip that the rest of the world calls paisley. The shape was woven into Kashmiri shawls long before European mills copied it, and it has never left Indian cloth since: wedding saris, block-printed dupattas, the border of your nani's bedsheet.
How to wear it
Fold it corner to corner and you have a head wrap or a neckerchief. Roll it into a band and it goes round your forehead, your wrist or a ponytail. Knot it through a belt loop or onto a bag strap when you are not wearing it. The guide shows each way step by step.
