About Jharokha
Jharokha (झरोखा) is a printed bandana from AAVRAN's first drop. Bottle green with an ochre arch framing an open centre, like a window. The most graphic of the big scarves; the open green middle lets the arch do the talking.
The print: Jharokha
A jharokha is the overhanging stone window on Rajasthani havelis and forts, built so people inside could look out without being seen. Here the window is one curving arch drawn in ochre, and the middle is left open.
How to wear it
Fold it corner to corner and you have a head wrap or a neckerchief. Roll it into a band and it goes round your forehead, your wrist or a ponytail. Knot it through a belt loop or onto a bag strap when you are not wearing it. The guide shows each way step by step.
What you get
One Jharokha bandana, 65 × 65 cm.
